Throughout the month of June several of the football players took time out of their schedules to put in work that benefited others. Tasks included filling bags for Habitat for Humanity, moving tables and setting up tents for the Logan Washboard Festival, and helping keep up Main Street by painting maroon and gold rockets and cleaning up the curbs.
Members of the 2017 Leadership Group took time during the first week of March to support Read Across America. They read to several elementary classrooms to show the importance of reading.
This was the first year our Biddy Camp focused solely on flag football and it was a tremendous success! We had the highest camper turn out in five years. Congratulations to our camp MVP Joshua Eyman (3rd grade) and our two fastest campers: Beau Cutright (4th grade) and James Cox (1st grade). Every camper received a shirt (apologies for the white parents, they were suppose to be yellow!) and enjoyed three days of fun and football!
The football team once again spent the afternoon walking up and down Main Street helping to clean up after the annual senior 'TP' night. The team was happy to help the village as they collected several bags of toilet paper and other trash.
The mission of Berne Union Football is to develop student athletes to their highest potential in the community, classroom, and playing field; to live Above the Line and never quit; to understand our role as an integral part of the Berne Union community.
To become BERNE UNION MEN!
